Initiative Towards sustAinable Kerosene for Aviation (ITAKA) is the first collaborative project of its kind in the EU, which has started the development of a full value-chain in Europe to produce sustainable drop-in Hydroprocessed Esters and Fatty Acids (HEFA) at industrial scale. The value chain has been demonstrated by the use of the produced biojet fuel in existing logistic systems and in normal flight operations in the EU.
The workshop brought together project partners and key stakeholders to discuss the final project results, share experiences and views.
The ITAKA Consortium is composed by companies from 9 countries and coordinated by SENASA, and represents the actors involved in the full production and value chain.
